EEO

Use EEO to view, enter, or update Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) information for annual reporting purposes.
 

Note:   

To find out what types of businesses are subject to reporting, refer to the Report (EEO-1) Instruction Booklet on the EEOC web site (http://www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey/2007instruct.html).

View EEO Information

  1. Click administration | Employee Information | EEO.

  2. Select the employee in which you need to view, enter, or update EEO information for from the employee drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

Enter/Update EEO Information

If the employee completes the voluntary survey, the system transfers information to fields in the EEO screen.

If the employee does not complete the EEO Self Survey, enter all employee race, ethnicity, and gender information based on a visual identification into the EEO screen, except for the Self Survey Status: and the Last Survey Date: fields. The Self Survey Status: field indicates the employee did not access the voluntary survey. The Last Survey Date: field indicates the date and time the employee declined the voluntary survey.

  1. Click administration | Employee Information | EEO.

  2. Select the employee in which you need to view, enter, or update EEO information for from the employee drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

  3. Select the employee's EEO job category from the EEO Job Category: drop-down menu.

Note:   

Employers can obtain specific information regarding EEO job categories in the Employer Information Report (EEO-1) Instruction Booklet on the EEOC web site (http://www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey/2007instruct.html).

  1. Select the employee's gender from the Gender: drop-down menu.

Note:   

When you enter or update the employee's gender in this screen, the system does not automatically update the Sex: field in the Demographics screen.

  1. Select the employee's race/ethnicity from the Race / Ethnicity: drop-down menu.

Note:   

Employers can obtain specific information regarding ethnicity/race classes in the Employer Information Report (EEO-1) Instruction Booklet on the EEOC web site (http://www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey/2007instruct.html).

  1. Select the employee's type of identification from the Type of Identification: drop-down menu.

  2. If the employee is eligible for EEO-1 reporting, check the Employee is Eligible for EEO-1 Reporting: checkbox.

Notes:   

  • This is not applicable for a non-paid individual.

  • If the Independent Contractor? option is selected in the Demographics screen for the current employee, the system automatically codes the employee as ineligible for EEO-1 reporting by unchecking the Employee is Eligible for EEO-1 Reporting: field on the EEO screen; however, you can update this field in this screen.

  • Employers can obtain specific information regarding whether a specific employee is subject to EEO-1 reporting in the Definition of employee in the appendix of the Standard Form 100 (latest version) and Employer Information Report (EEO-1) Instruction Booklet on the EEOC web site (http://www.eeoc.gov/eeo1survey/2007instruct.html).

  1. Type the survey date in the Survey Date: field or click the calendar icon to next to the Survey Date: field to select a date.

This is not applicable for a non-paid individual.

  1. Select the employee's self survey status from the Self Survey Status: drop-down menu.
