This option is not applicable for a non-paid individual.
Use Form I-9 for tracking purposes. Each employee must complete and sign Form I-9. Agency regulations indicate that the employee must complete and sign applicable sections of this form. If you decide to print Form I-9 from Paychex HR Online, the form prints blank due to these regulations.
Click HR Admin | Employee Compensation | Form I-9.
Select the employee in which you want to enter Form I-9 information from the employee drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Select the employee's resident status using one of the Resident Status: radio buttons. If the employee is a lawful permanent resident, type the alien number in the Alien # A field. If the employee is temporary alien, type the date they are able to work until in the An alien authorized to work until field, then type the alien/admission number in the Alien/Admission #: field.
Type information from the applicable Form I-9 documents into the applicable fields for a List A Item or a List B Item and List C Item.
Click Save.
Click HR Admin | Employee Compensation | Form I-9.
Click Print Blank I-9. The I-9 form opens in Adobe Acrobat reader.
Print and give the form to the employee to complete and sign.
