Reporting Structure

Use Reporting Structure to view the reporting structure for an employee.

To change reporting structure, refer to Reporting Structure Maintenance.

View Reporting Structure

  1. Click administration | Employee Information | Reporting Structure.

  2. Select the employee in which you want to view reporting structure for from the employee drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

Transfer All Direct Reports of a Supervisor

  1. Click administration | Employee Information | Reporting Structure.

  2. Click Reassign next to the employee from whom you wish to transfer employees. The Transfer Supervisor screen displays.

  3. Type the last name of the new supervisor in the New Supervisor: field, then click Search.

  4. Click the applicable name under Select an Employee:. The system displays the name of the supervisor from whom the employees will be transferred and the new supervisor.

  5. Click Save. The system displays the new reporting structure for the current employee.

Notes:  

  • To transfer an employee from one supervisor to another, access the Status/Position screen and assign a new supervisor to the selected employee.

  • You can only assign one supervisor for each employee. When assigning a supervisor, be careful of creating "loops."  This is a situation in which an employee reports to a supervisor and that supervisor reports back to the same employee. Run the Supervisor Listing with Employees Report in reporting | Standard Reports | Employee List before assigning supervisors to employees.
