Use Create New User to add a new user to this Paychex application.
To customize access, refer to Customize Access.
To setup read-only access, refer to Read-Only Setup.
To setup Employee Group Access, refer to Employee Group Access.
To setup Event Notification Setup, refer to Event Notification Setup.
To retrieve a MyPaychex username, refer to Retrieve a MyPaychex Username.
Click company setup | Security | System Access.
Click Create New User. The user setup screen displays.
Complete the required (*) fields, at a minimum.
Check the List Direct Reports Only: checkbox to display only the direct reports for this user.
Check the Active Account: checkbox to activate this user's account.
From the Mask SSN/Fed ID: drop-down menu, select the appropriate option to mask the social security/federal ID numbers from this user. Valid options:
Partial Mask – Social security numbers displays as XXX-XX-####. Federal ID numbers displays as XX-XXX####.
Full Mask - Social security numbers displays as XXX-XX-XXXX. Federal ID numbers displays as XX-XXXXXXX.
No Mask - Social security numbers and Federal ID numbers displays in full with no masking.
Check the Require Password Change at Next Login: checkbox to make the user change their password the next time they log into this Paychex application.
Check the Keep Menus Expanded: checkbox to keep all menus on the left navigation menu expanded for this user in this Paychex application.
Check the Ability to Reset Passwords: checkbox to reset users passwords.

If you want this user to view all employee PTO requests on the Employee | Compensation | Attendance/Time-Off | Time Off Calendar, check the View All PTO Requests: EE Tab: checkbox.
If you want this user to view all employee PTO requests on the Administration | Employee Information | Attendance/Time-Off | Time Off Calendar, check the View All PTO Requests: Admin Tab: checkbox.
Check the Paychex Learning Center: checkbox to grant access to the Paychex Learning Center for non-employee admin users.
Uncheck the Account is Locked: checkbox to grant the user who was locked out after five consecutive failed login attempts the ability to login to his or her account again.
Click Save.
